These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and FunnelFix (“we,” “us”), operator of SlapMiles, regarding the SlapMiles iOS app and the website at slapmiles.com. By downloading, accessing, or using SlapMiles, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app or site.

1. The product

SlapMiles is a local-first mileage logger. It helps you record drives, classify them as business or personal, estimate deductions using an IRS standard mileage rate you set, and export a CSV. There is no user account. Data you log is stored on your device unless you choose to export or share it.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (and old enough to enter a binding contract where you live) to use SlapMiles. The app is intended for people who track business mileage for their own tax records.

3. Tryout and Lifetime purchase

• Tryout: You may save drives for one calendar day to evaluate the product. After that tryout day, saving additional drives requires Lifetime.
• Lifetime: A one-time non-consumable in-app purchase (currently marketed at $29.99 USD, actual price shown by Apple in your storefront) unlocks ongoing logging, history, and export for one vehicle on that Apple ID, subject to these Terms and Apple’s rules.
• No subscription: Lifetime is not an auto-renewing subscription.
• Payments & restore: Billing is handled by Apple. Use Restore Purchases in the app (or reinstall + restore) to re-apply entitlement on devices signed into the same Apple ID.
• Refunds: Request refunds from Apple (for example reportaproblem.apple.com).

4. Not tax, legal, or accounting advice

SlapMiles does not provide tax advice. Deduction estimates depend on the rate you enter, how you classify trips, and whether your use of the standard mileage method is appropriate for your situation. IRS rates and rules change. You are solely responsible for verifying rates, keeping adequate records, and filing accurate returns. Consult a qualified tax professional when needed.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the app or site, including by attempting to reverse engineer the app except where allowed by law, interfering with the service, or using SlapMiles for unlawful purposes. You are responsible for the accuracy of the trips you classify and export.

6. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled. By using SlapMiles, you acknowledge that policy.

7. Intellectual property

SlapMiles, its name, branding, and software are owned by FunnelFix or its licensors. These Terms do not grant you rights to use our trademarks except as needed to refer to the product factually.

8. Website

The marketing site is provided for information about the app. Content may change. Links to third parties (including Apple) are not endorsements; their terms apply to their services.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

SlapMiles and the site are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that drive detection will be uninterrupted or perfectly accurate in every environment (tunnels, permission denials, OS limits, and device conditions can affect logging).

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FunnelFix and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost tax savings, or data loss, arising from your use of SlapMiles. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app or site will not exceed the amount you paid us for Lifetime through Apple for SlapMiles (if any) in the twelve months before the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those places, our liability is limited to the fullest extent allowed.

11. Changes and termination

We may update these Terms by posting a new version on this page. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms. We may stop offering the app or site. You may stop using SlapMiles at any time by deleting the app.
